Working a tiny bit on the editor!

I have been working on the NWN2 Editor for a bit... but there is so much to learn on what the editor has to offer and as well what it can offer in terms of: How we can translate our ideas and map areas to this editor...

For starters. I thought that NWN2 would be much more compatible with the interior, well its not. There is only a jigsaw square puzzle thing there you atach the walls and so.

So... there goes my designs and ideas down the toilet.

The screen shot I have posted is mainly to show what I have been playing around with. I have been having a little bit of fun to discover how many objects they are and what there can be done, and woah, they are so many options and yet... its really really hard to find that one tiny thing that we may need!

This is where there is another touch of creativity in the process, being able to do what you want to do with the given resources.

Hopefully there is way more than can be done with exterior, and I am thinking about doing the mural of truth as an exterior map because its a bloody pain to think on how I am going to do it as interior.

HOMEWORK
Because there are so many tiny things to learn in such a short amount of time. Id like for everyone to play with NWN2 Toolseet as much as posible until this Wednesday, and then in the afternoon after the tutorial, we should sit around a computer to show little tricks that we have learned along the way. Everyone should be working by now on their designated maps. Because I have interior based areas I will concentrate mainly on that for now, but id like to learn what you guys have done with your maps.

Also:
I have set up a space with ASSEMBLA. Its a online tool to upload files, where users can work simultaniously on files, and then upload them. This is great because we can work on the same file with diferent departments. We can all do a bit of everything because we are begginers in this, but id like to work on all areas for the Art, decoration and Special Effects departments. The same goes with Design and Programming, we should all work on the areas together for consistency. And using ASSEMBLA would just click everything toguether in a flash.

The way that Assembla works is the following, our "space" has a URL address. Then you have to download a SVN server aplication (like tortouse). Right click anywhere and click on TortouseSVN > Repo_browser. There you will find all the files that all members are working on.

Check the http://www.assembla.com/ Website.
For how to use the Subversion. There is a guide here:
http://svn-ref.assembla.com/

If you guys are wondering why I am pushing to use this, not only its highly benefitial and faster to work in group with software using this. But also it becomes very helpfull in second year and absolutely necesary in third year. (this was mentioned in the SSCC Meeting)

I need the emails for SEV, MIN and TERRY. Me, daniel and Justin are already hooked up.

I have uploaded to assembla (http://svn2.assembla.com/svn/crimson_tale) the test temple I have been playing around so you guys can have a look with what I have learned and done.

PS. I am not going to use this in the final Tomb_nareen, I was experimenting to see what I can do with interior design on NWN2 Toolset.
